Henry County Sheriff to receive additional expense allowance bringing total compensation to $94,000 per year beginning June 1, 2026

Base annual salary permanently set at $94,000 beginning January 18, 2027, replacing all other expense allowances and compensation forms

Sheriffs elected to second or subsequent successive terms receive an 8% salary increase on their existing salary beginning January 18, 2027

Sheriffs returning to office after a non-successive term restart at base salary with longevity increases only for consecutive service

Repeals existing Section 45-34-230 of the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding sheriff compensation; effective June 1, 2026
