Amends Section 3 of Act 84-549 from the 1984 Regular Session regarding compensation of the Washington County circuit clerk

Removes the existing severability clause that protected remaining provisions if any part was declared invalid or unconstitutional

Adds new language specifying that when the circuit clerk holding office on January 1, 2026 vacates the position, Section 1 of the original act (governing compensation) will be automatically repealed

Future circuit clerks in Washington County will not be subject to the compensation provisions established in the 1984 act

Effective date: October 1, 2026
