McKenzie Fuller of Ohatchee, Alabama was crowned Miss Jacksonville State University on January 24, 2025, and is officially recognized by the Alabama Legislature for her leadership and service

Her Community Service Initiative, "Reading Rockets: The Importance of Childhood Literacy," collected 2,500 books through a statewide book drive for children and families in need

She visited 43 classrooms to engage students directly in reading activities and literacy enrichment programs

She created and hosted a Girls in STEAM event to promote female participation in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics

The resolution passed the House on January 22, 2026 and was adopted by the Senate on February 10, 2026
