Cychlorphine is a synthetic opioid approximately 10 times more potent than fentanyl, causing rapid respiratory depression and failure even in small doses

Forensic laboratories in multiple states have identified the substance in counterfeit pills and mixed with other drugs, linked to rising fatalities

The substance has high abuse potential and no currently accepted medical use in the United States

Requires a copy of the resolution be transmitted to the State Health Officer and members of the State Committee of Public Health for swift implementation
