Commends Jake Harper, a Wilcox County cattleman and timber landowner, for his service as Southwest Area Vice President of the Alabama Farmers Federation and Alfa Insurance since 2003

Harper received the Service to Agriculture Award, the Federation's highest honor, at the organization's 104th annual meeting in Montgomery on December 7, 2025

Harper joined the Wilcox County Farmers Federation board in 1981, became president, chaired the State Young Farmers Committee in 1987, and served nine years on the state board representing District 9 (17 counties in central Alabama's Black Belt)

Harper also served on the Forever Wild Land Trust board, the Federation State Forestry Committee, and as past president of the Alabama Association of Conservation Districts and Alabama TREASURE Forest Association

In 32 cumulative years of service, Harper missed only one Federation board meeting
