Commends the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) Alabama and President Becky Vansant as she concludes her 2024-2026 administration

GFWC Alabama was organized in 1895 and chartered into the international organization in 1907, operating for 131 years with 50 clubs and 1,200 members statewide

Organization focuses on arts, education, libraries, natural resource preservation, veterans, health and wellness, child advocacy, citizenship, and domestic/sexual violence awareness and prevention

President Vansant's special project "Mental Health Matters" aims to increase mental health awareness and reduce stigma while promoting available resources

The 131st Annual Convention is scheduled for April 24-26, 2026, at the Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center at Capitol Hill
