Honors Dr. Michael Larry Tuggle (December 24, 1935 – February 26, 2021), a civil and environmental engineer who held degrees from Auburn University and University of Florida and served as a U.S. Marine Corps Captain

Dr. Tuggle founded Thomson and Tuggle engineering firm in Montgomery, worked for Russell Corporation as Vice President of Environmental and Engineering Services, and was named Alexander City Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year in 1987

Encourages the Alabama Department of Transportation to coordinate with local officials to erect appropriate signs or markers for the designation
