Designates September 1-30 of each year as a time of prayer and fasting in Alabama

Calls upon Alabamians who are physically able and spiritually inclined to participate annually in prayer, fasting, and seeking divine forgiveness and blessings

Affirms the state's commitment to Judeo-Christian values and references the protection of religious freedom in both the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment and Alabama Constitution of 2022, Article I, Section 3

Expresses legislative concern over issues including human trafficking, criminal violence, drug and alcohol addiction, border security, government corruption, and threats to traditional families

Passed the House on January 29, 2026 and adopted by the Senate on February 12, 2026
