Alabama Legislature commends Dr. Bradley Kent Heim, M.D., an obstetrician-gynecologist who served at Enterprise Women's Center for more than two decades beginning in September 2001

Dr. Heim graduated from Carson-Newman College, earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and completed his residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas

Prior to joining Enterprise Women's Center, Dr. Heim served four years on active duty as an OB/GYN physician at Winn Army Community Hospital at Fort Stewart, Georgia

Enterprise Women's Center provided prenatal care, obstetrical delivery services, gynecologic care, and surgical services to the Wiregrass region of Southeast Alabama, an underserved rural community

The resolution acknowledges the center's impending closure in March due to persistent rural health care challenges affecting providers statewide and nationally
