Commemorates Cathy Mitchell's retirement in January 2026 after 24 years as Executive Director at the IMPACT (Individually Managing Personal Achievement & Career Training) Learning Center in Scottsboro, Alabama

Established and supervised the first pre-K classes in Jackson County and the City of Scottsboro, leading both school systems to create successful public pre-K programs

Helped establish the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for Jackson County, delivering approximately 70,000 books to children ages five and under within three years

Initiated educational programs including adult computer classes, ACT preparation, resume assistance, "Choices" classes for sixth-graders, Liberty Learning citizenship classes, and STEM Family Activity Nights

Serves on boards for Nourish One Child (weekend food assistance nonprofit), Jackson County United Givers Fund, and the Three Arts Club supporting arts education
