Alabama House Resolution honors Pamela Murray Curry as the special guest at the Rosetta James Foundation's 20th Annual "Honoring Our Elders Day" Gala on March 14, 2026, at the Jackson Center in Huntsville

Mrs. Curry is a Dayton, Ohio native who earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Tennessee State University in 1973, relocated to Huntsville in 1982, and retired from Huntsville City Schools in 2007 as a licensed social worker

She was married to Charles A. Curry for 46 years, is a mother of two daughters and grandmother of two, and serves as a longtime member of First Missionary Baptist Church in multiple roles including deaconess

Mrs. Curry is a Golden Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and has served on numerous community boards including Christmas Charities Year-Round, Harris Home for Children, and the Women's Emerald Society of Huntsville Hospital

The Rosetta James Foundation's annual gala honors community volunteers aged 70 and above and raises scholarship funds for students demonstrating volunteerism, academic excellence, and civic engagement
