Dr. Penn served over 37 years as an Aerospace Engineer at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, recognized as among pioneering African American women in America's space program

Dr. Penn holds a B.S. in Mathematics and M.S. in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University, plus a Doctor of Theology degree from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology

The Rosetta James Foundation honors community and civic volunteers age 70 and above while raising scholarship funds for students demonstrating volunteerism, academic excellence, and civic engagement
