Alabama House Resolution honors Reverend Dr. W. Temple Richie, Jr. as the special guest at the Rosetta James Foundation's 20th Annual "Honoring Our Elders Day" Gala on March 14, 2026, at the Jackson Center in Huntsville

Dr. Richie is a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve Colonel who served as chaplain, was ordained at age 16, and holds degrees from Virginia State University, Harvard Divinity School, Louisville Seminary (Doctor of Ministry), and the Air War College

Dr. Richie has pastored churches in multiple states, served as president of the New Jersey State Convention of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, and authored the book "Better After Death"
