Amends Section 11-24-2 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to add a 24-month time limit on the family transfer exemption from county subdivision regulations

Land transferred to an immediate family member remains exempt from subdivision requirements, but if sold, deeded, or transferred to a non-family member within 24 months, the land becomes subject to all county subdivision regulations

Retains existing requirements for subdivision developers to obtain county commission approval, submit plats, include utility delivery plans, and potentially post surety bonds before selling lots

Permit fees for subdivision development cannot exceed $25

Effective date: October 1, 2026
