Creates a Military Veteran Temporary Teaching Certificate allowing veterans with 48 months of active duty service and an honorable discharge or medical separation to teach K-12 in Alabama without a bachelor's degree

Applicants must complete 60 college credits with a minimum 2.5 GPA, pass the appropriate Praxis content test, clear a criminal background check, and receive recommendation from a local superintendent or private school administrator

Temporary certificates are valid for five school years, limited to one-time issuance, and are nonrenewable; time served does not count toward continued service status

Certified veterans must be assigned a mentor for a minimum of two school years or participate in the Alabama Teacher Mentor Program
