Transit authorities in counties with 600,000+ population may participate as shareholders, partners, joint venture partners, or members in corporations, partnerships, and other business organizations related to transit operations, land acquisitions, and incidental activities

Authorities may create, establish, acquire, operate, or support for-profit or nonprofit subsidiaries and affiliates

Authorities may make or arrange loans, capital contributions, and other debt and equity financing for these business organizations

Business organizations and subsidiaries in which the authority participates are explicitly prohibited from exercising eminent domain powers
