Amends Section 30-3B-204 of the Code of Alabama 1975 regarding temporary emergency child custody jurisdiction under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Enforcement Act

Allows Alabama courts to exercise temporary emergency custody jurisdiction when a child is present in the state and has been abandoned or faces threatened mistreatment or abuse (including threats to siblings or parents)

Establishes that temporary emergency custody determinations automatically become final if no custody proceeding is commenced in another state with proper jurisdiction within 6 months of the order's entry

Requires Alabama courts to immediately communicate with courts in other states when concurrent custody proceedings or determinations exist to resolve emergencies and protect parties' safety
