Amends Section 45-37-230 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to revise compensation for the Jefferson County Sheriff

Sets the sheriff's annual salary at $160,000 effective at the next term of office, with cost-of-living increases matching those provided to deputy sheriffs

Provides an additional expense allowance of $40,000 per year, payable monthly from the county general fund, which may count toward retirement contributions

Increases the sheriff's annual salary to $225,000 beginning with the next term of office, at which point the $160,000 base salary and $40,000 expense allowance provisions become void

Takes effect on the first day of the first month following passage and approval by the Governor
