Agriculture authority boards incorporated prior to January 1, 2022, shall appoint successors to directors upon term expiration or vacancy, rather than having external appointing authorities fill positions.

Agriculture authorities may purchase goods and services through national or regional governmental cooperative purchasing programs that use competitive procurement processes, including programs sponsored by the National Association of Counties.

County and municipal tax proceeds from alcoholic beverage sales collected by agriculture authorities or their lessees must be rebated to the agriculture authority.

State and local lodging taxes collected by entities operating accommodations on agriculture authority property must be rebated to the agriculture authority.
