AL SB324

Authorizes the Tallapoosa County Judge of Probate to charge and collect fees for remote electronic access to probate office records via computer or digital systems

Requires collected fees to be deposited into the special indexing fund controlled by the Judge of Probate

Permits funds to be used for office maintenance, operation, improvement, recording systems, remote-access services, and technology needs at the judge's discretion

Ratifies and confirms any fees previously collected and expended for remote records access prior to the act's passage

Effective date: June 1, 2026
