Amends Section 45-49-85.42 of the Alabama Code governing the appointment of temporary judges of probate in Mobile County when the elected judge is incompetent, incapacitated, absent, sick, or disqualified

Removes the sunset provision that would have terminated the Judge of Probate's authority to appoint temporary judges at the end of the first legislative session after a successor to the judge serving on June 14, 2007 was elected

Temporary judges appointed by the elected probate judge for calendar congestion or caseload management may serve up to 90-day terms, with successive reappointments allowed, but cannot serve more than 100 days per fiscal year

Temporary judges must post a bond of at least $10,000 and receive compensation at 90% of the elected judge's salary; special judges for single-case disqualifications receive $50 per day
