Creates the Municipal Firefighters' Bill of Rights, allowing municipalities to adopt local ordinances establishing rights and procedures for personnel issues with municipal firefighters

Establishes minimum standards for investigations of firefighter misconduct that could result in termination, demotion, or loss of pay, including requirements for interrogation location, recording, written charges, and the right to have an attorney or witness present

Prohibits requiring firefighters to disclose personal financial information (property, income, assets, debts, expenditures) for themselves or household members in relation to promotions or job assignments

Requires written notification of pending personnel actions a reasonable time before any action that may result in loss of pay, benefits, or status, except under exigent circumstances

Protects firefighters' right to engage in political activity when off duty and prohibits penalizing firefighters for exercising rights under the act; effective October 1, 2026
