Driver licenses issued to individuals who did not provide proof of lawful presence in the United States are declared invalid in Alabama and do not authorize the holder to operate a motor vehicle in the state

Law enforcement officers must issue citations for driving without a license to individuals stopped while using such licenses, pursuant to Section 32-6-18 of the Code of Alabama

Nonresidents with out-of-state licenses are no longer exempt from Alabama's driver license requirement if their license indicates it was issued without proof of lawful U.S. presence

Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency must maintain website information about invalid licenses and design road signage; Department of Transportation must install signage at state welcome sign locations
