Continues the Alabama 911 Board until October 1, 2028, under the Alabama Sunset Law

Changes the Senate confirmation process for board appointments: members now serve upon appointment unless the Senate elects to consider and then rejects the appointment

The Senate Committee on Confirmations or the full Senate may elect to review appointments; rejection by the committee counts as rejection by the full Senate

Preserves the existing 13-member board structure with representatives from congressional districts, CMRS providers, local exchange carriers, and cable companies providing VoIP services

Effective date: June 1, 2026
