Drew and Lauren Wendland of Autaugaville, Alabama were named America's Top Young Farm Family at the American Farm Bureau Federation's Annual Convention on January 12th in Anaheim, California

The Wendlands operate Autauga Farming Company, which includes row crops, cattle and hay, timber, a fertilizer business, and custom work for neighboring farms

As Achievement Award winners, they received $35,000 toward a vehicle from Ford plus an $80,000 prize package from winning the Alabama state contest

The competition is open to farmers ages 18-35 who receive more than half their income from production agriculture; the Wendlands qualified by winning the Alabama Farmers Federation 2025 Outstanding Young Farm Family competition

The resolution commends the family for their contributions to Alabama agriculture, Farm Bureau involvement, civic service, and agricultural advocacy
