Alabama Legislature recognizes and congratulates the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science (ASMS) in Mobile for being ranked #19 Best Public High School in America for 2026 by Niche, out of more than 20,000 public high schools nationwide

ASMS earned #1 rankings in Alabama for Best Public High School (second consecutive year), Best High School for STEM, Best College Prep Public High School, and Best Magnet High School

ASMS is Alabama's only 100 percent residential public high school, serving students in grades 10-12 from all 67 counties with no tuition cost

The school provides advanced and college-level coursework with research opportunities preparing students for careers in STEM fields
