Extends the Alabama Rural Road Map initiative, originally created by Act 2025-425 (Senate Joint Resolution 92) in the 2025 Regular Session, which was set to dissolve after the fifth legislative day of the 2026 Regular Session

Alabama Growth Alliance encouraged to continue working with the leadership team to develop a comprehensive statewide rural development program to revitalize Alabama's rural communities

New deadline for completion of the Alabama Rural Roadmap is November 1, 2026, at which point the initiative will be dissolved

Completed roadmap must be submitted to the Governor, Chair of the Senate Fiscal Responsibility and Economic Development Committee, Chair of the House Fiscal Responsibility Committee, and the Secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce

Passed the Senate on February 24, 2026 and the House of Representatives on February 26, 2026 with bipartisan sponsorship from 35 senators
