AR HB1125

Establishes a maximum of 40 regular employees for the Oil and Gas Commission for fiscal year 2011-2012, including positions such as Oil & Gas Director ($107,501), Deputy Director ($98,272), engineers, geologists, and administrative staff.

Authorizes up to 10 part-time or temporary employees ("Extra Help") at rates not to exceed those provided in the Uniform Classification and Compensation Act.

Appropriates $4,339,774 from the Oil and Gas Commission Fund for personal services and operating expenses, including $1,894,253 for regular salaries, $592,507 for personal services matching, and allocations for operations, conferences, travel, professional fees, data processing, and other programs.

Appropriates $500,000 for refunds and reimbursements from cash funds and $1,500,000 from the Abandoned and Orphaned Well Plugging Fund for well plugging program expenses.

Authorizes the Chief Fiscal Officer to transfer up to $750,000 per year from the Oil and Gas Commission Fund to the Abandoned and Orphan Well Plugging Fund upon request and review.
