AR HB1151

Amends Arkansas Code § 27-21-106(a) to add a new exception allowing on-duty law enforcement officers or persons performing official law enforcement functions to operate all-terrain vehicles on public streets and highways.

Maintains existing exceptions for all-terrain vehicle operation on public roads, including use in farming or hunting operations, direct highway crossings with safety precautions, and operation by persons with serious walking handicaps.

Persons with serious walking handicaps must carry a physician's certificate and equip their vehicle with a red flag at least 6 inches wide and 12 inches long on a pole extending 36 inches above the seat.

Persons with serious walking handicaps are prohibited from operating all-terrain vehicles on federal interstate highways or fully-controlled access highways.
