AR HB1408

Expands residency restrictions to include Level 2 sex offenders, in addition to the existing Level 3 and Level 4 offenders, prohibiting them from living within 2,000 feet of schools, public parks, youth centers, or daycare facilities.

Exempts Level 2 offenders who owned property before the effective date of the act from the residency restriction requirements.

Removes the exemption for any Level 2 offender who pleads guilty, nolo contendere, or is found guilty of another sex offense on or after the act's effective date.

Maintains existing exemptions for offenders of all levels who owned property prior to July 16, 2003 (for schools and daycares) or July 31, 2007 (for parks and youth centers), but forfeits these exemptions if the offender commits another sex offense after those dates.
