AR HB1427

Amends Arkansas Code § 6-21-403 to require public school districts to provide digital resources and necessary equipment to access them alongside traditional textbooks and instructional materials for kindergarten through grade 12 at no cost to pupils.

Allows school districts to select their own textbooks, instructional materials, and digital resources (including access equipment) or choose from a state-approved list.

Requires the Department of Education to monitor school district compliance and report annually to the House Committee on Education and Senate Committee on Education any school districts failing to provide required materials by November 1 of each year.

Mandates that all materials purchased with state funds must be consistent with the curriculum and educational goals established by the State Board of Education.

Authorizes the State Board of Education to promulgate rules necessary to implement the provisions of this law.
