Public or private employers cannot prohibit employees with valid concealed handgun licenses from possessing legally owned handguns locked inside private motor vehicles in parking lots.

Employers cannot condition employment on whether an employee holds a concealed handgun license or require employees to agree not to keep handguns locked in their vehicles for lawful purposes.

Employers cannot prohibit or prevent licensed employees from entering the employer's parking lot because their vehicle contains a lawfully kept handgun that is out of sight.

Employers cannot terminate or discriminate against employees for exercising their constitutional right to keep and bear arms or self-defense rights, provided handguns are never displayed on employer property except for lawful defensive purposes.

The law does not apply to prohibited places specifically listed in Arkansas Code § 5-73-306(1) through (18).
