AR HB1975

Requires private businesses that provide short-term child care for patrons to conduct criminal history checks with the Arkansas State Police for all employees in positions directly or indirectly related to child care or supervision.

Prohibits employees convicted of or who pleaded guilty/nolo contendere to offenses requiring registration under the Sex Offender Registration Act of 1997 from having any direct or indirect contact with children in the facility or performing child care duties.

Amends Arkansas Code Title 20, Chapter 78, Subchapter 1 by adding new section 20-78-107 to establish these background check requirements and employment restrictions.
