AR HB2012

Amends Arkansas Code § 6-20-210 to expand desegregation expense disbursements beyond Pulaski County to any school district under court-ordered desegregation or court-approved desegregation agreements.

Requires school districts receiving desegregation funding to spend money only to fulfill court-approved plan objectives and prohibits commingling desegregation funds with other state funding.

Mandates school districts report to the Department of Education on fulfilled and outstanding plan objectives, plus expenditures by objective, and publish this information on their websites.

Prevents the Department of Education from stopping desegregation expense disbursements unless the school district fails to completely fulfill a plan objective within five years of court approval or until the school district is declared unitary by the court.

Repeals Arkansas Code § 6-20-212, consolidating desegregation expense procedures into the amended § 6-20-210.
