Transfers appointment and employment authority for the State Medical Examiner from the State Crime Laboratory Board to the Executive Director of the State Crime Laboratory, with board approval required.

Increases the hourly consultation fee cap from $75 to $225 per hour for consultations, scientific or medical research, depositions, expert witness testimony, and court travel in civil cases.

Increases the daily consultation fee cap from $600 to $1,800 per day for the same services listed above.

Increases the maximum autopsy fee charged to non-law enforcement officials from $1,000 to $3,000 per autopsy.
