• Appropriates $1,000,000 from the General Improvement Fund to the Department of Human Services - Division of Developmental Disabilities Services for grants to community programs serving developmentally disabled individuals.

• Eligible uses for funds include personal services, operating expenses, construction, improvements, equipment, renovation, and maintenance expenses.

• Appropriations are not restricted by requirements applicable to other programs currently administered, and new rules and regulations may be adopted to carry out the intent of the appropriation.

• Funds must comply with State Purchasing Law, General Accounting and Budgetary Procedures Law, Revenue Stabilization Law, and other applicable fiscal control laws unless specifically provided otherwise by law.

• Act becomes effective July 1, 2011, declared an emergency measure necessary for immediate operation of agency programs.
