Appropriates $50,000 from the General Improvement Fund to the Department of Human Services - Division of Developmental Disabilities Services for a transitional living shelter grant.

Grant funds designated for a transitional living shelter serving women 18 or older who have been treated for mental, physical, or emotional disabilities.

Funds may be used for personal services, operating expenses, construction, improvements, equipment, renovation, and maintenance expenses.

Appropriations exempt from restrictions applicable to other programs and new rules may be adopted to carry out the General Assembly's intent.

Act effective July 1, 2011, with emergency clause declaring immediate effectiveness essential to agency operations.
