• Requires persons awarded state contracts of $50,000 or more to file disclosure reports with the Secretary of State detailing political contributions exceeding $50 in the aggregate.

• Reports must itemize contributions made by the contract recipient, their employees, and any business entities in which they hold 50% or greater ownership interest.

• Annual reports must be filed between January 1-31 each year covering the preceding calendar year, with an additional report due within 30 days of contract award covering the award year and prior calendar year.

• Reports must be filed electronically through the Internet on a Secretary of State-provided form, signed under penalty of perjury.

• Violations constitute a Class A misdemeanor, including knowingly failing to comply, making false statements, or omitting information from required reports.
