Each school district must annually evaluate and report on programs supported by national school lunch student categorical funds to ensure they provide intervention and prevention services designed to increase student achievement.

School districts must submit evaluation reports to the Department of Education and post them on their websites no later than January 1 each year.

Evaluation reports must include how funds are spent by specific program, the amount of funds transferred to other categorical funds with explanations, and the impact and effectiveness of programs including student achievement data analysis.

School districts must document student achievement gains from these programs measured by performance on required state assessments.

School districts cannot receive national school lunch student categorical fund distributions until they have submitted the required annual evaluation report.
