Vehicles with medical tinting waivers may have side windows tinted to at least 20% net light transmission, rear windows to at least 10%, and front windshields to at least 50%.

Vehicles with medical waiver tinting must display a label on the front glass from the installer providing the company name, phone number, and confirmation that tinting meets legal requirements.

Motorists must carry physician certification in the vehicle, which remains valid for three years from the date of issue.

Upon vehicle transfer, the seller must either disclose that the window tinting exceeds legal limits without a medical waiver or remove the tinting entirely.
