• Raises alternative learning environment funding from $4,145 to $4,305 for 2013-2014, and from $4,228 to $4,383 for 2014-2015 and thereafter.

• Increases English-language learner funding from $299 to $311 for 2013-2014, and from $305 to $317 for 2014-2015 and thereafter.

• Maintains national school lunch categorical funding at existing levels for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015, and directs education committees to study a new sliding-scale funding formula and evidence-based program list for future implementation.

• Increases professional development funding from $51 to $53 per student for 2013-2014, and from $52 to $54 for 2014-2015 and thereafter, with the act effective July 1, 2013.
