Municipal police departments are authorized (changed from required) to charge a $20.00 fee for taking and entering bail or delivery bonds.

The administrative and regulatory fee charged by bail bond companies, sheriffs, and jail keepers to the Bail Bondsman Board Fund increases from $10.00 per bond effective April 1, 1993 to $10.00 per bond effective July 1, 2013, with fees deposited into the Bail Bondsman Board Fund and Domestic Peace Fund.

Two new fees are established: a $6.00 per bond fee for the Arkansas Counties Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Crime Prevention Program Fund, and a $4.00 per bond fee for the Bail Bond Recovery Fund to be used for forfeited professional bond recovery.

The bill establishes the Bail Bondsman Board Fund, Arkansas Sheriffs' Association Education Fund, and Bail Bond Recovery Fund as special revenue funds to receive and manage collected fees.

Reporting and payment deadlines are set for quarterly reports within 15 days of each quarter end, with $100 per day penalties for delinquent payments, and annual reconciliations due by February 15.
