AR HB1960

Prohibits state revenue funds appropriated to courts, political subdivisions, public schools, and state agencies from purchasing gifts, food, or beverages for General Assembly members during legislative sessions and the 30-day periods immediately before and after sessions.

Exempts legislative branch entities (Bureau of Legislative Research, General Assembly, Division of Legislative Audit, Legislative Council) from the spending restrictions.

Allows exceptions for meals and incidental travel expenses when members tour facilities in their capacity as legislative committee members during non-session periods.

Permits incidental servings of nonalcoholic beverages (coffee, tea, milk, soft drinks, juice) on any day of the calendar year.

Allows provision of any item that is offered for free to the general public upon request.
