AR HB1985

Amends Arkansas Code § 27-50-1203(e)(1) to require all towing entities permitted, licensed, or regulated in Arkansas to allow vehicle owners or their agents to use any other permitted, licensed, or regulated towing company when reclaiming a vehicle from storage.

Adds new subsection (k) to Arkansas Code § 27-50-1203 requiring the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board to issue towing business licenses or vehicle safety permits to out-of-state tow vehicles only when the owner demonstrates compliance with Arkansas Code § 27-35-112.

Establishes reciprocity requirements that out-of-state towing businesses must satisfy before receiving licenses or permits to operate tow vehicles in Arkansas.
