AR HB2000

Amends Arkansas Code § 5-71-217(b) to clarify the criminal offense of cyberbullying.

Requires that a person transmit, send, or post a communication by electronic means with the purpose to frighten, coerce, intimidate, threaten, abuse, or harass another person.

Requires that the transmission be in furtherance of severe, repeated, or hostile behavior toward the other person.

Corrects the spelling of "electronic" in the statute.

Removes "or alarm" from the list of prohibited purposes for electronic communications.
