AR SB738

Appropriates $1,000,000 to the Department of Arkansas State Police from the General Improvement Fund for maintenance, renovation, construction, equipping, improvement, upgrade, land acquisition, and repairs.

Allows the department to accept and use grants, donations, and Federal funds to supplement state treasury funds for project financing.

Prohibits use of the department's Maintenance and General Operations funds for purposes authorized in this act.

Requires strict compliance with state purchasing law, accounting and budgetary procedures, revenue stabilization law, and other applicable fiscal control laws in disbursement of funds.

Takes effect July 1, 2013 with emergency clause declaring immediate necessity for preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
