Venues and entities hosting live entertainment, sporting, theater, or musical events may sell tickets at any price of their choosing, regardless of whether they also employ ticket-selling agents that charge fees.

Venues may sell tickets at the venue itself for a lower price than tickets sold through other means such as the Internet.

Tickets cannot be offered for resale over the Internet until they have first been offered for sale to the general public through an event-authorized outlet or by the venue/entity or its authorized agent.

Internet portals and websites are prohibited from allowing resale of tickets until tickets have been initially offered for sale to the public through event-authorized outlets.

Resellers cannot charge more than the greater of either the original ticket price charged by the venue/authorized agent or the printed ticket price, plus reasonable handling or credit card charges; violations are punishable by fines of $25 to $500 per offense.
