AR HB1005

Amends Arkansas Code § 14-16-116 to authorize counties to exchange or transfer real or personal property with other counties, municipalities, community colleges, or institutions of higher education.

Requires any property exchange or transfer to be approved by ordinances of the quorum court and completed according to procedures prescribed or confirmed by the quorum court.

Allows counties to accept service, legal tender, or other consideration in exchange for real or personal property under this section.

Exempts transfers made under this section from Arkansas Code §§ 14-16-105, 14-16-106, 14-22-101 et seq., and the Arkansas Procurement Law (§ 19-11-201 et seq.).
