Property owners with buildings currently situated on the boundary line between two municipalities may choose either municipality as the legal location of the building

Property owners whose building expansions will cross a municipal boundary may choose either municipality as the legal location if they obtained necessary authorizations or permits from one of the municipalities before expansion

Property owner must provide written notice to both municipalities specifying which municipality is chosen and requesting annexation into that municipality

The building's property and up to two acres of surrounding property shall be annexed into the chosen municipality

The chosen municipality must coordinate with the Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Office within 60 days to prepare legal descriptions and digital mapping for the relevant area

Act takes effect immediately upon Governor's approval due to emergency declaration regarding sales tax and boundary line issues affecting property owners
