Department of Human Services shall establish a request for proposals to create a claim scrubbing process using software to eliminate errors and omissions from medical claims that result in payment denial or underpayment.

The claim scrubbing process must work in conjunction with the automated eligibility verification system.

Legislative Council must review and approve the request for proposals before finalization.

Department may contract with one or more entities to establish and maintain the claim scrubbing process.

Adds new section 20-77-2104 to Arkansas Code Title 20, Chapter 77, Subchapter 21.
